You will help the people we support maintain their independence, dignity, safety, choice and wellbeing, while building positive and respectful relationships with them and their families. Your responsibilities As a Home Care Worker / Care Assistant, your duties may include: • Supporting individuals with personal care and daily routines • Supporting medication in line with care plans, training and agreed procedures • Preparing meals and encouraging good nutrition and hydration • Supporting mobility and safe movement • Providing companionship, reassurance and emotional support • Supporting individuals to attend appointments and take part in community activities • Encouraging independence, choice, dignity and involvement in everyday decisions • Following individual care and support plans • Maintaining clear, accurate and timely care records • Recognising and reporting concerns promptly to senior members of the team • Working professionally and respectfully with families, colleagues, and health and social care professionals About you We are looking for people who are: • Caring, patient and respectful • Reliable, punctual and responsible • Committed to delivering person-centred care • Good communicators who treat people with dignity and respect • Able to work independently while also contributing positively to a wider care team • Able to travel reliably between care visits across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole • Willing to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends where required Previous care experience is welcomed, but it is not essential for every applicant. We are also interested in people who demonstrate the right values, attitude and commitment to high-quality care.
