Home Care Worker / Care Assistant – Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole

You will help the people we support maintain their independence, dignity, safety, choice and wellbeing, while building positive and respectful relationships with them and their families. Your responsibilities As a Home Care Worker / Care Assistant, your duties may include: • Supporting individuals with personal care and daily routines • Supporting medication in line with care plans, training and agreed procedures • Preparing meals and encouraging good nutrition and hydration • Supporting mobility and safe movement • Providing companionship, reassurance and emotional support • Supporting individuals to attend appointments and take part in community activities • Encouraging independence, choice, dignity and involvement in everyday decisions • Following individual care and support plans • Maintaining clear, accurate and timely care records • Recognising and reporting concerns promptly to senior members of the team • Working professionally and respectfully with families, colleagues, and health and social care professionals About you We are looking for people who are: • Caring, patient and respectful • Reliable, punctual and responsible • Committed to delivering person-centred care • Good communicators who treat people with dignity and respect • Able to work independently while also contributing positively to a wider care team • Able to travel reliably between care visits across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole • Willing to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends where required Previous care experience is welcomed, but it is not essential for every applicant.
